As Baptists, our beliefs are simple and biblical. The 2000 Baptist Faith and Message gives the most detail, but here’s a summary:

  • We believe that the Bible is the inspired revelation of God given as the standard by which we must live.
  • We believe in one eternal God revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe that we all were created for relationship with God but, due to sin, have been separated from God and are in need of forgiveness to be in a right relationship with Him.
  • We believe that Jesus Christ died for the sins of us all, was resurrected for our hope, and is mediator between us and God.
  • We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith in Christ’s death and resurrection alone, and available to everyone.
  • We believe that Christians are supposed to live in the love, unity, and peace of God while striving to live a holy life before God.
  • We believe that the Church is the family of God—the body of Christ—made of people from every age, race, language, and nations, empowered and gifted by God’s Spirit to carry out the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.
  • We believe that Christ will one day return in power and glory to judge the world and complete His eternal kingdom, the “new Jerusalem.”
